Most people would say that when you die, you just decay. They are partially right. The complex molecules, which make up your body tissue, decay into smaller, simpler molecules like ammonia, carbon dioxide and water. Given enough time, all complex molecules decay into simpler molecules, unless there is a controlled input of energy. Your body does decay, however, THERE'S A LOT MORE TO YOU THAN YOUR BODY!
Those same professors and teachers, the ACLU, the so-called People for the American Way, members of the U.S. Supreme Court, and others, who scoff at God, Christianity, and the ten commandments, attend funerals. And some day, they will attend their own funeral, or memorial service. At their birth, God breathed life into their human bodies. If that had not happened, they would have been stillborn. While their human spirit is in their bodies, they are living beings, or living souls.
At death, your human spirit leaves your human body. The body then decays into the basic chemical elements and molecules, which comprised
it. However, the human spirit ( something that today's educators seem to know nothing about - nor care anything about ) lives on, and becomes the nucleus of what the apostle Paul called the " spiritual body "
( I Corinthians 15:44 ) This spiritual body has all the senses, which we have in our natural body. The spiritual body can see, hear, taste, smell, and feel pain. How we live, here on earth, determines the fate of our spiritual body.
We recently received an e-mail from a " scientific person " challenging these statements. For the record, there has been scientific research into what happens after death. Many people have been brought back to life after a clinical death. According to one researcher, about 7% of those, who have been brought back from death, report having left their bodies and gone to a place, which we would typically call, heaven or hell. In either case, they returned from the after life with a very changed attitude toward how they should live their lives. The remaining 93% were evidently not truly dead, or were not dead long enough to be able to report anything about the after life.
I can't overemphasize the importance of what I am telling you here. This is far more important than the things that most schools and colleges consider important. This is even more important than life and death, because this concerns eternity.
The Bible, in its last book, talks about the Great White Throne where people will be judged by God. Who will be at the great white throne? The Bible says the small and great,- the lawyers, doctors, teachers, professors, psychologists, politicians, world leaders, the judges, the rich, the poor, the homeless, and the middle class. How many? Nearly all of these will appear at the great white throne. The true followers of Jesus Christ will not be judged at this time. They will have already been judged, and given rewards, at the judgement seat of Christ.
When I say true followers of Jesus Christ, I am not talking about a particular religion or church or denomination. I am talking about those who have repented of their sinful life styles, and asked God to give them a new heart, a new inner self that will not want to sin. When Christ died on the cross, he made it possible for this to happen. But, it is still up to us. A person must recognize his/her sin, confess it to God, and not continue in it, scoffing at God, and His commandments. The Bible says that God doesn't change. So much for those who would invent their own versions of what is right and what is wrong, trying to convince people that things have changed.
Who will be at the great white throne,- and be cast into the lake of fire? All pagans will be there. All those who believe in false religions will be there. Muslims who fail to repent and accept the true God will be there. Jews who fail to recognize and worship their Messiah will be there. Most Catholics, Greek and Roman, will be there. Most Protestants will be there. Even among those who consider themselves born-again Christians, some will be there.
I have nothing against these people. By the world's standards, some of these are very nice people. But God will not judge us by the world's standards. He will judge us by His laws and His commandments, and whether we accept the death of His Son Jesus Christ ( Savior Messiah in the original language ) as paying the penalty for our sins. He will judge us by whether we have accepted the new heart and new human spirit, that His Son's death on the cross made possible. He will judge us on whether we received the death of His Son Jesus as precious and holy,- a special gift from Him, or shrugged it off as nothing.
Why don't we hear this in our schools? Because Satan has fed us this lie of " separation of church and state " ( not found in the Bible or in the US constitution ). What our founding fathers wanted to avoid, was what they had experienced,- persecution at the hands of a government specified
church. In hundreds, if not thousands of writings, they made it very clear that they were founding a Christian country based on God's laws. In spite of overwhelming evidence to this truth, our children are not being taught this today. Instead, our children are being taught the present government sponsored religion,- Darwinian Evolution, and our tax dollars are being used to do it!
