Yes God does heal miraculously, and we are going to talk about how that happens, but first consider:
Has the street corner junkie been replaced by an elaborate network of drug company CEO's, medical doctors, specialists, surgeons, and pharmacists?
To many, this seems to be the case. Who has trained your doctor? Who regulates your doctor? Just who is this FDA? Who is this " Board of Medicine " that dictates what your doctor may do or prescribe? Who supplies your doctor with all those samples to get you hooked on a particular prescription medicine?
According to all the drug company ads on TV, you should call " your doctor " about everything from sore muscles, to a hangnail, or who knows what else, and try to get him/her to give you a prescription for their product. Then they try to gloss over a laundry list of side effects, which in many cases may be far worse than the condition for which a drug might be prescribed. Before you put all your eggs in the " your doctor " basket, maybe you should consider all the alternatives, including alternative medicine.
In the past God has healed miraculously, but also has occasionally healed through the use of various herbs and chemical materials. If you don't believe it, read in the book of Isaiah, chapter 38, about how Isaiah used a poultice of figs to heal King Hezekiah. Some experts in nutrition now claim that figs are the strongest of the alkalizing foods, and that a body that is slightly alkaline hinders cancer. God knew all about the medicinal value of figs over 2500 years ago!
If you or a friend or loved one, is suffering from cancer, we will gladly include you in our prayers, and if you come to one of our services, we will anoint you with oil, in the name of the Lord, as instructed in the book of James 5:14-15. In addition, I would urge you to do some research, on a Brazilian tree called Graviola. There are some remarkable anti-cancer claims being made for this herb. I bought some Graviola, not too long ago, and have found it helpful in battling all sorts of illnesses. One particular person, that we know, used Graviola to reduce a tumor to nothing in only a week, or two ! It seems to strengthen our God given immune system. One of the major drug companies studied Graviola, for about 7 years, and tried to make it synthetically. When they found they couldn't make it synthetically, and patent it, and make lots of money on it, they abandoned the project.
Many people have contacted us concerning the need for physical healing or deliverance from addictions. Some have walked away miraculously healed and/or delivered. Those who haven't are usually those who refuse help, because they prefer their addictive substance over yielding to God's will in their lives.
Here are some thoughts on healing:
Those, like us, who minister healing in Jesus' name, have no special healing power in ourselves. And, the scriptures teach plainly that Jesus did not heal by using His power as the Son of God. Jesus healed by the power of the Holy Spirit. See Matthew 12:22-28. He taught in John 14:12, " Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these, he will do, because I go to My Father." Like Jesus, we minister healing by the power of the Holy Spirit, who dwells within us.Sickness, or disease, is usually related to sin, or an unhealthy practice, or a lack of self-control, in some area. Many scriptures confirm this. Many infirmities are caused by the unhealthy things, which we allow into our body,- junk food, tobacco products, alcohol, drugs, chemicals from the air or water, etc. If God miraculously heals us, but we continue allowing unhealthy things into our body, the infirmity will soon come back on us. We probably won't even know that we were healed!
A good example of this is cancer. There are things, which people take into their bodies, that cause cancers to grow. And, there are foods and medicines that inhibit the growth of cancers. It is widely recognized that cancer is an immune system disease. If you allow things into your body, which weaken the immune system, guess what, in a few years you will be facing some kind of cancer. Even your drug company trained doctor will tell you to stop smoking, stop using chewing tobacco, stop drinking, eat less junk food, and eat more healthy foods, like fruits and vegetables. By the way, you don't have to drink red wine, to get the benefits of red wine. Many alternative medicine practitioners, tell you, that you can get the benefits of red wine, without the side effects, from a nutritional supplement called Resveratrol.
I have to wonder, " How many people have had a life threatening disease like cancer, been healed by God, and then within a few days, put the disease back into their bodies by consuming the same poison which caused the cancer, in the first place? "
Many doctors, and nutritional experts, are now saying that cancer, and a number of other viruses and bacteria, cannot live in an ALKALINE environment. There are certain foods that make your body more alkaline, while most junk food will make your body more acidic. Some say that eating a few FIGS, is an effective way to bring the body into a slightly alkaline condition. I eat a few figs every day. Other foods mentioned as alkalizing foods are RAISINS, CARROTS, and SPINACH. Who knows? If a person has cancer, and has been given no hope, it is certainly worth a try! You might also try that herb called Graviola, or Graviola Max. It grows in Brazil, and according to some, has amazing anti cancer properties. It is available from some of the mail order vitamin retailers.
Sin is usually, but not always, the cause of a physical problem. The gospel of John, chapter 9 verses 1-3 talks of a situation where blindness was not sin related.
Another reason why healing is not received, is the failure to forgive others for their sins against us. See Matthew 6:14-15 & Mark 11:23-26. Science has found that bitterness or anger actually releases a toxic material in our bodies, that can make us sick.
God does not take pleasure in sickness, suffering and death. It is not God's perfect will for you to be sick or suffering, or to die. Satan is real, and he does take pleasure in human suffering. He brought these things into the world, by the temptation of Adam and Eve. He continues to do so, by tempting us. The same book ( the Bible ) that tells us that Jesus is Lord, the Son of God, tells us that Satan is very real, and not to be taken lightly.
The ability to receive healing and/or deliverance, is closely related to a person's willingness to surrender his/her life, thought, and conduct, to God. Often there is confusion as to what God's will is. It is not necessarily what a preacher says. It is what God says,- in the books of the Bible. Clean common sense living, can go a long way toward getting you healthy,- and keeping you healthy! If you are addicted to unhealthy foods, tobacco products, alcoholic beverages, or drugs,- do what you have to do, to break those addictions. If you can't do it on your own, get whatever professional help you need, to set you free. If you don't, you are asking for continued weakness, depression, poor health, and a premature death.
Depression is frequently the result of a person trying to live in rebellion against God, and His commandments. God's laws are for our own good. He wants us to be happy, healthy, and prosperous. When we live in rebellion against God, or in disobedience to His laws, we will soon become poor, and unhappy and depressed!
When I say that God wants us to be prosperous, I don't mean that He wants us to become preoccupied with material things, and to covet material things. God is our supplier. That preacher, on TV, who spoke against the prosperity of the believer, better repent and read his Bible, rather than trust his false teachers. Check out Philippians 4:19: "And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." God want us to have the material things that we need, and that thought occurs all through scripture.
There are many ways in which a person can be healed or delivered. We regularly pray, and anoint with oil, according to James 5:14-16. Sometimes we command demons or sickness to leave in Jesus' name. Sometimes we minister healing through the laying on of hands. Jesus ministered healing in different ways also. We strive to do the things that Jesus did.
It is interesting to see all the WWJD ( What would Jesus do? ) signs,- yet the same people displaying these signs seldom minister healing and deliverance to those in need, as Jesus did, and as He commanded. We like WDJD better. What did Jesus do? And, that's what we do.
Sometimes, a miracle healing, that is received in a large healing crusade, where the anointing of God is strong, doesn't last, because the root cause of the infirmity has not been dealt with. God wants the whole being transformed, not just the physical body repaired. Some times people fall under the power ( are slain in the Spirit ) and receive a healing or deliverance, but the result is only temporary. Again, God wants your whole being transformed, not just your body!

Our Sunday AM services are being held at the Mexico Beach Civic Center. In accordance with federal laws, we have permission to use this heated, and air conditioned, facility on Sunday mornings at 10:00 AM central time. We begin with a short time of greeting and fellowship, and then TJ leads us in worship. After the service we have holy communion, a time when people can request prayer, especially for healing, and sometimes, a pot luck luncheon.
The Mexico Beach Civic Center is located at 105 N. 31st Street. It is the white building with the dark green roof, which is just behind that new Mexico Beach restaurant, Mango Marley's. It is behind Parker Realty, and is on the northeast side of Rte 98. It is about 7/10 mile south of the Mexico Beach Welcome Center.
