Hosea 4:6It is obvious now, that Mexico Beach is a community that is ignorant of the nature of Halloween. A little over a week ago, in a conversation with a man in Panama City, he made reference to Halloween as Satan’s holiday. I told him that he was absolutely correct, and he was. He evidently knew more about Halloween, than most of the people in Mexico Beach.
It is relatively easy to determine if something is good or evil. Jesus, in John 10:10, contrasted Himself to Satan by noting that the thief ( Satan ) comes to steal, kill, and destroy. If a practice contributes to life and goodness, it is of God. If a practice contributes to crime, sickness, injury, or death, it is of Satan. This goes far beyond abortion, which is still murder in the eyes of God, even though the servants of Satan have changed the term. Why is it that no one seems to care about the welfare of the unborn child? Is it, perhaps, that it is because the unborn child can't vote? Don't worry,- these evil politicians will stand before God, to be judged, at the great white throne.
For several years, I have had in my files an article that outlines the origins of Halloween, and I am sharing that information here. The title was, “ Halloween: Kid’s Treat or Pagan Trick? “ If someone can provide me with the necessary documentation, I will gladly give credit to the original author.
The roots of Halloween go back several hundred years before Christ. The Celts, and their priests, the Druids did much evil, including barbaric human sacrifices. This is recorded in ancient Greek and Roman writings, as well as in early records found in Ireland. By 47 A.D. Rome finally defeated the Druids in England and outlawed human sacrifices. November 1st was the Celtic new year. October 31st was celebrated by the Druids with many human sacrifices, and a festival honoring their sun god, and Samhnain ( Satan ) the Lord of the dead. They believed that the sinful souls of those who died during the year were in a place of torment, and would be released, only if Samhain was pleased with their sacrifices. Much of the ancient evil still exists today among the modern Satanists, including animal sacrifices, and an occasional human sacrifice ( murder ).
Pope Gregory III incorporated the festival, minus the human sacrifices, into the church as “ All Hallows, or All Saints’ Day. The term Halloween comes from All Hallows Eve.
The founding fathers of America, refused to permit the holiday to be observed because they knew it was a pagan holiday. Halloween was not widely celebrated in the U.S. untill about 1900.
The widespread problem of harmful substances such as razor blades, drugs, poisons, needles, etc. being placed in the Halloween treats here in America is no accident. Testimonies of several ex-Satanists show that these children killed or injured,by the treats, are sacrifices to Satan ( or Samhain ). Satanists throughout the world continue to perform animal and occasional human sacrifice on Halloween.
When I was a child, I ignorantly celebrated Halloween and went trick or treating. If you stop and think about it, what greater evil is there, than to teach your children that it is ok to go around threatening people with a
" trick " if they don't give you candy,- something that isn't good for you anyway! I have renounced that evil activity and you should also. God forgives sins done in ignorance, but if a person continues to sin after being confronted with their sin, there is no forgiveness. Christ didn't die on the cross for you, so that you could continue evil practices.
