CALLED - " Many are called, " Matthew 20:16 & 22:14
CHOSEN - " few are chosen " ( chosen of God - born of God ) John 1:12,13
Born of God ( the new birth ) comes first, then the believing!BORN FROM ABOVE - " You must be born from above. " John 3:3,7
In this context, ανωθεν must be translated " from above ", not " again ".BEING BORN FROM ABOVE IS NOT OPTIONAL!
" You MUST be born from above. " John 3:3,7THE ONE BORN FROM ABOVE IS A NEW CREATION - When people are truly born from above, they have become new creations! They are no longer like the selfish little baby that emerged from the womb. 2 Corinthians 5:17 They have become different. They have become servants of God, and fellow man, not themselves.
BELIEVING AND OBEYING " He who believes ( πιστευων = trusts ) in the Son has everlasting life; and the one not believing ( απειθων = disobeying ) the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him. " John 3:36
BEING SAVED - A process begun by God when a person is born from above, and which continues until death, or the return of Jesus - " So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were BEING SAVED. " Acts 2:46,47 - also 1 Corinthians 1:18, 2 Corinthians 2:15, & 2 Corinthians 3:18
BEING SANCTIFIED - being set apart or made holy. Sanctification begins with the new birth and continues until the end Hebrews 2:10,11, and Hebrews 10:13,14
BEING SANCTIFIED ( MADE HOLY ) IS NOT OPTIONAL! Hebrews 12:14
SAVED ( AT JUDGMENT ) Those people who claim to be saved, have been deceived by someone, who misused scripture. Salvation is not complete until the end. Matthew 10:22, Matthew 24:13, & 1 Peter 1:9
Priests and pastors can�t give you the new birth. Only God can give you the BIRTH FROM ABOVE!
HOW DO YOU GET GOD TO GIVE YOU THE NEW BIRTH? The key words here are SUBMISSION and HUMILITY. James wrote ( James 4:6,10 ) " submit " and " humble yourself". Jesus said that He is the way, but He won't force you to surrender control of your life to Him. Matthew 19:16-30.
My advice is to find a quiet place where you can be alone with God. Pray, asking Him to make you what HE WANTS YOU TO BE. Tell Him that you want Him to make you a new creation. If your heart is right,- if you really mean it, He will answer that prayer and give you that new birth that comes only from above.

Our Sunday AM services are being held at the Mexico Beach Civic Center. In accordance with federal laws, we have permission to use this heated, and air conditioned, facility on Sunday mornings at 9:30 AM central time. We begin with a short time of greeting and fellowship, and then TJ leads us in worship. After the service we have holy communion, a time when people can request prayer, especially for healing, and sometimes, a pot luck luncheon.
The Mexico Beach Civic Center is located at 105 N. 31st Street. It is the white building with the dark green roof, which is just behind that new Mexico Beach restaurant, Mango Marley's. It is behind Parker Realty, and is on the northeast side of Rte 98. It is about 7/10 mile south of the Mexico Beach Welcome Center.
