It is quite possible that these Ark pieces have been moved, or destroyed, since these photos were taken in 1972/3 and 1989. Many more Ark photos, and enlargements, are below! Noah's Ark was a big floating barn, not a boat!
Above Left: Ed Davis saw these pieces of Noah's Ark in 1943. There are links to the Ed Davis story below. This photo was taken by Eryl Cummings in 1972 or 1973. In the photos, focus on the object in the crevasse near the Abich II glacier, on Mt. Ararat.

Notice that very large timber coming out of this piece of Noah's Ark. Ed Davis told researcher, Ray Anderson to look for that.
Here's what Ed told Ray:
" I was taken down past the crevasse, and its object, where I got a good close up look." He described it in detail to Ray Anderson Ed said one thing in particular, that he remembered, was a huge long timber, sticking through a hole in the side of this piece of the Ark. He told me ( Ray ) to look for that in my picture, and I probably could see some smaller ones protruding through the front of the superstructure. Ed was told by his Kurdish friends, that these were projected toward the front of the structure, when it slid into the crevasse, and rammed against a stone wall, inside the crevasse. You can clearly see that large timber coming out of the Ark piece in the photos below.

On the web, there are, without a doubt, hundreds of sites that have things to say about Noah's Ark, its present existence, or lack thereof. Most of these sites are nothing but hot air,- people writing, who haven't the slightest notion of what they are talking about, or who are quoting others, who know less than they do.
The search for Noah's Ark is very complex, and crosses many disciplines. The skeptic wanting to make a quick intelligent sounding comment, and dismiss the existence of the Ark pieces, will easily convince the less than committed lay person. What is displayed here on this web page, is the result of 40+ years of extensive research, and involves archeology, theology, chemistry, physics, geography, history, and perhaps other areas, of study. One has to become familiar with Mt. Ararat, its features, and hazards, to even begin to make reasonable conclusions about the pieces of Noah's Ark.
There is ample testimony of a number of eyewitnesses, and the photos on this website, to state with certainty, that Noah's Ark is in pieces, most of which, are in the crevasse that runs down beside the Abich II glacier, just west of the upper Ahora Gorge. With the exception of a few days every dozen or so years, the pieces are buried deeply in glacial ice, and cannot be reliably detected by any present day technology.
Or in some cases, the people are deliberately trying to deceive people into thinking that the Ark never existed, or is in some location other than just below the eastern summit of Mt. Ararat.
When properly interpreted, the Koran also indicates that the Ark landed on the highest mountain. ( in the region ) That would be Mt. Ararat. Devout Muslims believe that the revelation of the Ark, and its restoration, will be a sign that Mohammed will be returning soon. It appears that the Ark originally landed in the " saddle " area between the eastern summit, and the true summit, and over millenia, was broken in pieces, some of which slid down into a crevasse near the Abich II glacier. This is in full agreement with the " mountains of Ararat " in the book of Genesis, of most English Bibles.
I have read hundreds of accounts of people who claim to have seen Noah's Ark somewhere else, or who think that they have proven that it is not on Ararat. There are reasons why I believe them to be badly mistaken. I believe that the accounts of Georgie Hagopian and Ed Davis were basically truthful, but not always accurate in detail. Age takes a toll on your memory, and both of these men were quite aged, when their accounts were made public.
Georgie Hagopian was too young, when he saw the Ark, to be able to remember and relate accurate information about sizes and locations. But, he definitely saw something very large, and man made, near the summit of Mt. Ararat.
Before he passed away in 1998, Sgt. Ed Davis related to many, how he was shown two pieces of the Ark by a family of Kurds ( or Lourds a tribe closely related to the Kurds ) in 1943, and was told that there were other pieces, that he wouldn't be able to visit. This explains why there have so many reports of the Ark in different places. A number of these reports may be true, but may also be describing different pieces of the Ark.
Much of what is written to negate the value of Ed's testimony is a deliberate distortion of what he actually said. His account is much more accurate than the " experts " would have you believe. Contrary to what is recorded on some of the websites, Ed did not say that he saw Ararat from Hamadan. He said that he was working out of Hamadan ( headquarters ) and if you read his whole story, you see that he was serving much closer to Ararat.
Ed told of one of the major pieces of the Ark having a large beam protruding from the side. That piece has been located in a crevasse just below the eastern summit of Greater Ararat. Photos of that area, courtesy of the www.noahsarkfactnotfiction website, are supplied below. There is an abundance of information on their website that is not supplied here. An internet blogger, known only by a code name, wrote the following,
" You find me an ark, on top of a mountain, with provisions to keep every living creature on earth alive for 150 days, all packed into a 450 X 75 X 45 foot area, and I will accept Jesus christ, and speak in tongues the next day. "This typifies the ignorance of many in today's society. There are reasons why this statement is nonsense, and this blogger will never have the Ark revealed to him/her, beginning with an unwillingness to abandon his/her life of sin. God works on the basis of faith, and reveals Himself to people based upon their faith.
Many people, with far more faith than this blogger, have spent the better portion of their savings, and productive lives, climbing Mt. Ararat and enduring incredible hardships, looking for the Ark, and have not met with success. Yet there are at least a few dozen simple people with simple faith, who have seen it and touched it, as indicated on the eyewitness lists below.
God grants repentance, and the ability to surrender control of their lives to Him, as He chooses. To those, who sincerely believe, and seek it, He grants the gift of speaking in tongues. The Apostle Peter, writing in 2 Peter chapter 3, prophesied of the day when scoffers, like the blogger above, would deny the flood, the Ark, and the second coming of Christ:
"...scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, ' Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.' For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, by which the world that then existed, perished, being flooded with water. "
( 2 Peter 3:3-6 )The account of the Ark, in the Bible book of Genesis, is as follows:
" Make yourself an Ark of gopherwood; make rooms in the Ark, and cover it inside and outside with pitch. And this is how you shall make it: The length of the Ark shall be three hundred cubits, its width fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits. You shall make a window for the ark, and you shall finish it to a cubit from above; and set the door of the Ark in its side.
You shall make it with lower, second, and third decks. "
( Genesis 6:14-16 )" But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the Ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. "
( Spoken by Jesus Christ. Recorded in Matthew 24:37-39 )" By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith. "
( Hebrews 11:7 )

Yes! Noah's Ark is still on Ararat! ( in pieces ) Would you like to know the location of one of the pieces of Noah's Ark ? If so, take a look at these photos. These photos are copyright by the noahsarkfactnotfiction.com site. These pictures are copyrighted as follows:

You are only going to see these pieces of the Ark exposed, during times of extreme melt back of the ice pack on Ararat. That is only a few days, in every 20 or so years. In addition, it should be noted that Mt. Ararat is covered with clouds most of the time.
On the photo below, begin by focusing your attention on the Abich II glacier, and especially the " i " in Abich II. Just below the words, Abich II is a crevasse. In that crevasse, just below the " i " in Abich, buried deep in the crevasse, is the piece of Noah's Ark that Ed Davis told researchers to look for,- the one with a very large beam of wood coming out of the side.

Dr. Arslan has said that this area is extremely dangerous. He described it as a crust of ice covering deep crevasses. Arslan said that he could hear water running beneath his feet. He risked his life to get to about 1/4 mile from this Ark piece. He said that it looked like a chicken coop, or a barn. This piece appears to be near the same crevasse, about 1000 ft. in elevation below the other piece, and closer to the gorge. The mountain in the background, to the upper left, is Little Ararat.
It has come to my attention that, the negative, from which this photo was obtained, was at one time copyright by Robin Simmons/George Adams, Arslan's climbing companions. At the time, I didn't know whether the copyright was still in effect, or if Simmons or Adams were still living. Not too long ago, I received a surprise e-mail from Robin Simmons. I swapped a number of e-mails with Robin. He supplied much helpful information.

Ararat, so that you can share it with family and friends, click here:Location of Ark pieces on Mt. Ararat
Here's a summary of the three Ark pieces and their locations:
Here's why we are convinced that these photos show pieces of Noah's Ark:
1. It was Ed Davis, who told Ark researcher, Ray Anderson, to look for a piece of the Ark with a very large timber protruding though the side. Ray found this Ark piece, on a photo taken by Eryl Cummings in 1972 or 1973. That is the piece in the enlarged photo at the above left at the top of this page. For more information about Ed Davis's visit to Noah's Ark in 1943, click here:
2. The top of Mt. Ararat is ice covered year round,- an area of at least 17 square miles.
3. The three pieces shown above are in that, relatively small area, where at least 80% of the alleged sightings of Ark like objects, have taken place,- some from the ground, some from the air, and some from satellites.
4. Only a person with much climbing experience, and in superior physical condition could climb to this location, even without carrying anything with which a person might build a structure. Many strong experienced climbers have died, just attempting to reach this location. To suggest that someone brought building materials up here to build something is ridiculous. Simply breathing on Ararat requires a few days, just to get acclimated to the thin air.
5. According to moon walking astronaut Jim Irwin, who has been on Mt. Ararat a number of times, and who nearly lost his life in a climbing accident on Ararat, " Mt. Ararat (nearly 16,945 ft., in eastern Turkey), with its loose rock, harsh winds, glaciers, deep gorges and landslides, is one of the most difficult mountains in the world to climb. "
6. Irwin led teams up the slopes ( of Ararat ) five times. On one of these he was knocked unconscious by a falling rock. He lost several teeth and a lot of blood. After spending the night alone in the cold above 14,000 ft, he was barely discovered in time by a team member. Of the dangers of this mountain, Irwin wrote, " We faced risk of physical danger, for Ararat is a crumbling mountain. Every few minutes we could hear rock slides and small avalanches. We slept in numbing cold, fell on loose rock, dodged tumbling boulders, grew exhausted from high-altitude climbing, had feet sore with blisters, had painfully cracked lips from sunburn, received various cuts and nicks, all in pursuit of a hidden ... treasure. " ( Noah's Ark )
7. According to another experienced Ararat climber and researcher, "...on a sunny day, it can be quite comfortable even on the ice cap above 14,000 ft. However with wind chill, and an overcast day, it can become subzero quite quickly. Climbers in the last couple of years have frozen and died on Mt. Ararat. "
8. In addition to the weather considerations, there are loose rocks and boulders, unfriendly wolf hounds, terrorist activity, hazardous ice, sudden storms, hidden crevasses, etc.
9. Ed Davis, a US military man, with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, passed by the piece of the Ark shown at the top of this page, in 1943, after visiting another piece about 1000 ft. higher, and saw both pieces from a distance of a few hundred feet. Photos of the piece at the higher elevation exist, but are very blurred, and virtually unusable.
Msgt. Davis was escorted to the uppermost structure, by the male members of a Kurdish family, and got a good close look at it. They passed by the piece, with the large timber coming from the side, on their way down the mountain. He was viewed as a close friend of the Kurdish family, as he had helped supply water to their village. The Abas family knew the location of these two pieces of the Ark, had a secret route, known only to them, complete with storehouse caves, and visited the Ark pieces, with some regularity, during the summer months of those years, when the ice pack was undergoing a severe melt back. To the Kurds, the Ark was a holy object.
A more detailed account of Ed Davis's visit to the Ark can by found by clicking on the Ed Davis link below. The 1989 photo by Dr. Arslan, is of a third piece of the Ark, which is about 1000 ft. further down the crevasse, and which was not seen by Sgt. Davis, and the Abas family, at the time of their 1943 visit.
10. Eyewitnesses have agreed that the pieces of the Ark are in a state of virtually total petrification. If any kind of arc imaging, or remote sensing, were be used in these locations, it is very likely that the signals would bounce off the Ark pieces, just as they would bounce off the rocky mountain subsurface. The energy would not detect the pieces of the Ark as wood.
11. Notice the similarity between the two structures,- the one at about 15,000 ft. and the one at 14,000 ft. In both cases, the hull is virtually gone. All that is visible is the interior supporting studs and girders.
12. Mt. Ararat was considered impossible to climb until the mid 1800's.
There is only one logical conclusion. These are photos of two of the existing pieces of Noah's Ark! These statements are our conclusion. Quotes from " scientific experts " will not prove us wrong. This is just cheap talk. To even begin to evaluate the information on this website, would require years of research into the geography and topography of Mt. Ararat, and a knowledge of the many previous sightings of Noah's Ark, and pieces of it.
Would carbon dating help? No! Carbon dating has been found sadly lacking, though it is frequently still used by those who are attempting to change the historical record. If the eyewitness accounts of petrification are correct, most of the carbon that was in the wooden ark has been replaced by silicon, which doesn't lend itself to carbon dating. We have links at the bottom of this page that will explain the problems with carbon dating in detail.
Much credit has to go to Ed Davis, John McIntosh, Robin Simmons, BJ Corbin, Bob Garbe, Chuck Aaron, Ray Anderson and his family, and many others, who have dedicated most of their adult lives to the search for Noah's Ark. Ed Davis told Ark searcher, Ray Anderson, to look for that piece of the Ark with the large beam protruding from the side. You can read a good copy of an Ed Davis interview, on www.noahsarkfactnotfiction.com. It is with much sadness that we report Ray's passing away in November of 2006.There are some remarkable pictures on Ray Anderson's site, and and an analysis of a photo, taken in 1972 or 1973, of what is, most assuredly, a piece of Noah's Ark, in that crevasse in the Abich II glacier, below the eastern summit of Mt. Ararat: Noah's Ark Fact Not Fiction! Be sure that you scroll down, to see the pictures.
When you click on the " Summary of Ark Eyewitnesses " you can read accounts of around 25 people who claim to have seen the Ark covering the period of from 275 BC to the present. The Koran also mentions the Ark, and over two hundred cultures have a " legend " similar to the Bible account.
42 Alleged sightings from the noahsarksearch.com website
This photo shows, what is possibly, another piece of Noah's Ark. We know that is near the eastern summit of Mt. Ararat, in the upper region of Ahora Gorge, but don't know it's precise location. Many have tried to convince me that this is just a rock. I am yet to be convinced. I have been given photos which appear to show this object blending into the rock wall of the Gorge. But even that is strange. The straight lines ( very rare in nature, except when caused by gravity ) the box like structure, what appears to be a window like structure on the top, the unusual colored portion on the side that some have thought might be a door,- there are just too many questions. I am trying to determine if anyone has ever been close enough to this object to take better, more revealing photos, or to sample the material. For now, I believe that this object has to be called a mystery object!

Sometime during 1915 or 1916, a Russian aviator spotted Noah's Ark, or a piece of it, on the north side of Mt. Ararat. The account was reported to the Russian Czar, who in turn sent an expedition of over 100 soldiers to view and record as much information about the Ark as possible. They did find the Ark, and some actually went inside three rooms of it. Most of the soldiers returning from the expedtion were killed by a group of revolutionaries. Many people have talked with those from that expedition and seen some of the photographs, which they took.
Scoffers doubt this account, but there were far too many witnesses, and people who spoke with witnesses, for this to be a hoax. There was a vast amount of information on this expedition to the noahsark.it web site. The part dealing with the white russian expedition is no longer accessible, but there is a lot of other interesting material on the site:
I have noted that many times scoffers have succeeded in burying information about the Ark so that they can continue promoting their sinful lifestyles.
A number of WWII vets claimed that they had seen photos of pieces of Noah's Ark taken from military aircraft, in various issues of Stars & Stripes, and Yank magazine. If you have a copy, or know the location of a copy, please e-mail us.
Most people today, even in churches, think that Noah's Ark and the Genesis Flood are just stories. That's what I thought until, when in the 1960's, I started reading about the many explorers who claimed to have found Noah's Ark, or a piece of the Ark. Some even claim to have entered it. Noah's Ark, and the Genesis Flood, are two very important parts of God's message to mankind. Jesus Christ, who was the Spirit of God dwelling in human flesh, spoke in no uncertain terms that Noah, the Ark, and the Genesis flood were historical facts. Since Jesus spoke of them as facts, it is utter hyprocrisy for people to claim that they are Christians, and yet deny the facts of Noah, the Ark, and the flood.
There is much misinformation concerning Noah's Ark, on the internet. Some of it is posted by people who are confused, and simply don't know any better. SOME ARE CALLING IT A BOAT. IT WAS NOT A BOAT. IT WAS AN ARK,- SOMETHING CLOSER TO A GIGANTIC FLOATING BARN, OR A BARGE. It wasn't meant to go anywhere. It was only meant to protect its contents.
Some of the misinformation is deliberate deception,- out and out lies. Evolutionists are fighting for their lives. The existence of Noah's Ark is one more proof that the theory that they are peddling to students, as fact, is nothing more than out and out lies. There are many who know the truth, but don't dare to say anything. Some who know the truth have been threatened, or silenced in some way. Others may even have been killed!
There a number of other misconceptions concerning the Ark and the flood that need to be discussed. First of all, a careful reading of scripture indicates that the flood of Genesis covered an earth, much different than the one that we live in today. In the earth before the flood, man could live up to 900 years or more, probably due to different chemical or physical processes, the lack or radiation, or due to differences in man's genetic make-up. It appears that the land mass of the early earth existed as one great continent, rather than the many continents that we see today.
It also appears that the land mass of the early earth was nearly flat. Contrary to what most scientists say today, the great mountains, including Ararat, which exist today, were formed during or after the flood. Using a hocus pocus of assumptions, under the general heading of radiometric dating, most scientists today place the formation of the great mountain ranges at so many millions or billions of years ago.
The so called " scientific " view of the distant past is based upon a philosophy known as uniformitarianism. Uniformitarianism starts with an assumption that God doesn't exist, or if He does, He must have created the world through evolution. The fact that God tells us in the Holy Bible how He created the world, escapes them, because they choose not to consider it seriously. IN MOST CASES, PEOPLE HAVE SET UP IN THEIR MINDS A FALSE NOTION AS TO WHAT GOD MUST BE LIKE. THEN, WHEN THAT NOTION IS FOUND TO BE FAULTY, THEY CONCLUDE THAT THERE IS NO GOD. THIS IS PRECISELY WHAT HAPPENED IN THE TROUBLED MIND OF CHARLES DARWIN.
The second tenet of uniformitarianism is that ancient history is uniform, ie., chemical and physical laws, and processes, have always been the same as they are today. This is the most important flaw in what is called " radiometric dating " or " atomic clocks ". Why is it so hard to believe that the One who created the earth, and all of its chemical and physical laws, could not also change them?
This is what appears to be implied in Genesis 8:22 " While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and winter and summer, and day and night shall not cease. " God appears to be saying that from that point on, as long as the earth remains, physical and chemical processes will stay constant. This is why it is so foolish for scientists to attempt to back-extrapolate chemical and physical laws and processes, into the past, beyond 2400 BC. We know that the maximum human life span, after the flood, rapidly diminished from around 900 years, to about 120 years, as it is today.
One curious fact, concerning Noah and the Genesis Flood, is its occurence in the legends of literally hundreds of civilations, including some that, until recently, had never seen missionaries. For example,- there is one tribe in western China that traces their ancestries all the way back to Adam, not thru Noah's son, Shem, as the Christians and Jews usually do, but through his son, Japheth! Most of these legends are similar to the Genesis account, but differ in details. These differences lend credibility to the belief that they were not copied from Christian missionaries.
The idea of a great flood (or floods) that devastated human civilization is not simply the product of the robust imagination of the ancient Hebrews and Greeks. These myths may be understood as reports, embellished and altered over the millennia, of real events. In fact, more than 500 deluge legends are known around the world and, in a survey of 86 of these (20 Asiatic, 3 European, 7 African, 46 American and 10 from Australia and the Pacific), the researcher Richard Andree concluded that 62 were entirely independent of the Mesopotamian and Hebrew accounts.
Noah's Ark WAS NOT A BOAT, and was not meant to be a boat. It was a giant floating barn, or barge, with three interior decks. It was not meant to sail anywhere. It was only meant to stay afloat, and protect its contents. Even by modern standards of measurement, it was huge,- about 525 feet long, 75 feet wide and 45 feet high. These dimensions are more than adequate to contain the representatives ( presumably young pairs or eggs ) of all the air breathing genetic kinds. It is most likely that the Biblical " kinds " refers to families or genera,- not species.
In the 20th century, there were a number of reports of a long rectangular box like structure being found on the north side of Mt. Ararat at about the 16,000 ft. level. Most recent accounts have this giant box being broken into at least two pieces, with parts protruding from the ice - volcanic ash mixture, that is typical to the upper regions of Ararat. Many sketches, and a photographs now exist.
It appears now, that large pieces of the Ark are in at least three areas,- the first, a large broken piece, lying on its side, at about 16,000 ft., near the eastern summit of Ararat, in a formation that has been described as an inverted fish hook, or a horseshoe. The last two pieces are shown above,- a large broken piece, in a crevasse of the Abich II glacier at about 15,000 ft.,- and a third piece about 1000 ft. lower in elevation. A large pile of timbers, has been spotted in an area called Parrot glacier.
The local inhabitants,- the Kurdish people, have their own brand of Islam, and are very suspicious of outsiders. Why shouldn't they be? They are being abused by the larger nations, and denied their right of self determination. Their attack dogs are anything but friendly. It should be noted that all of the recent US presidents have had it in their power to expose the Ark to the world, and have done nothing about it.
Reports of the Ark being spotted or photographed seem to be limited to those rare years, when the weather in the region is unusually warm and dry. This has happened very seldom. If the global warming fearmongers are correct, ( which I doubt ) it is likely that some day the pieces of the Ark will be more exposed. Most of the time they have been buried deep under the ice, and or rocks, or volcanic ash. Recent satellite photos are very intriguing. I believe that if we spent 1/100 of the money that we are wasting on exploring the solar system, on a search for the Ark, we could very quickly establish the exact location of the Ark pieces, and prove the Ark's existence, beyond any shadow of doubt.
A number of well meaning christians, and portions of the Turkish government, have been deceived by some, who claim that Noah's Ark has been found at a site about 6300 ft. above sea level, 2 miles north of the Iranian border. This site is usually called the Durupinar Site. Evidently they don't believe the Bible. The Bible clearly calls it NOAH'S ARK, NOT NOAH'S BOAT. The site was promoted largely by one charismatic person ( since deceased ) and a few followers, and now by his remaining family. This is definitely not the Ark, and much of the information which they release is not true. They frequently quote " experts " as supporting their claim, when in fact, these experts have rejected their claims. If you desire more info on the Durupinar Site, I can send you a list of sources who debunk these claims. As you can see from the photos above, you don't have to look beyond Mt. Ararat.
Pastor Tim has been following the events surrounding the search for Noah's ark since the late 1960's. If you have questions, please send an e-mail.
